The first project of the Marikina Mahal Kita Foundation was the purchase of a mechanized street sweeper, which was donated to the people of Marikina. The approximately 240 families of members and donors from the U.S.A. and Canada helped to make this project a success.

On September of 1994, the street sweeper was delivered to the people of Marikina, Metro Manila, Philippines. This special vehicle helped the municipality of Marikina attain the “Greenest and Cleanest Town in Metro Manila” award for 1995.
